Tournament News
8 people entered a 16-player bracket on Tuesday night. We had the following tournament results:
- First place: Sho Sengoku
- Second place: Greg Kopp
- Third place: Henry Chaboki / Tom Fahland (split)
We had a visitor from Northern California, as Fran Scheiman entered the tournament.

Sho Sengoku has won two straight tournaments, and now has won nine straight BCSD matches. A win in
his next match and Sho will make the 1023-to-1 list!

Adrian Costa and Jason Lee remain tied atop the leaderboard, with Bruce Haight in striking distance,

The point leader at the end of the year will be named
the BCSD Player of the Year, and the top 16 in the Master Point standings will be
invited to the 2004 BCSD Tournament of Champions, to be held in early 2005.
News from Las Vegas
The 10th International Cup took place over Mother's Day weekend in Las Vegas. Sho Sengoku made the
trip to Vegas, and once again won a side event. Sho was victorious in the Mini-Match Event.
Congratulations, Sho!
The next major tournament in the region will be the 53rd Gammon Associates Invitational on June 11-13,
2004 in Beverly Hills. There should be several BCSD players in attendance.
Problem of the Week

Osman Guner (White). We had this as a problem last week, but the match score was omitted from the problem.
We'll keep this problem for a week and add one more.
