No Name Tuesday

On Tuesday, 20 July 2004, the Backgammon Club of San Diego met. We were all happy to see Henry back in the tournament.

Tournament News

10 people entered a 16-player bracket on Tuesday night. We had the following tournament results:

Main Tournament (16 player bracket)
  • 1st place:  Bruce Haight

  • 2nd place:  Bruce Discher

  • 3rd place:  Adrian Costa / Tom Fahland (split)

    • Back to a double digit turnout, as 10 people were in attendance. We've had 10 or more people in the tournament 15 times out of 29 this year.

    The competition for second place gets sterner, as Bruce Haight has moved to within one point of Jason Lee for the 2nd spot in the standings.

    The point leader at the end of the year will be named the BCSD Player of the Year, and the top 16 in the Master Point standings will be invited to the 2004 BCSD Tournament of Champions, to be held in early 2005.
