Pennant fever grips San Diego!

On Tuesday, 21 September 2004, the Backgammon Club of San Diego met, featuring the largest turnout of the year.

Tournament News

15 people entered a 16-player tournament and an 8-player overflow tournament on Tuesday night. We had the following tournament results:

Main Tournament (16 player bracket)

1st place:  Tom Fahland
2nd place:  Jason Lee
3rd place:  Adrian Costa / Osman Guner (split)

Overflow Tournament (8 player bracket)

1st place:  Henry Chaboki / Fred Kamgar

The turnout of 15 people was the largest all year, matching the tournament on June 22nd. The BCSD welcomed four new players to the fold, as Steve Blake, Wendy Oldfield, Geno Perez, and Matt Senecal all participated. Jon Vietor also entered the tournament, his first entry of the year. The BCSD hopes that all will return to play again very soon.

Tom Fahland recaptured 4th place, and has made 3rd through 5th quite close.

The point leader at the end of the year will be named the BCSD Player of the Year, and the top 16 in the Master Point standings will be invited to the 2004 BCSD Tournament of Champions, to be held in early 2005.
