Tournament News

On Tuesday, 9 November 2004, the Backgammon Club of San Diego met. 11 people entered a 16-player tournament, with the following results:

Main Tournament (16 player bracket)
  • 1st place:  Bruce Haight and Mark Weiner (split)
    
  • 3rd place:  Jason Lee
    
  • Murphy Bunnell and Lynn Shardlow were new players to the club this week.

    Both Bruce Haight and Jason Lee moved to within striking distance of Sho Sengoku for the lead in the standings. It could go right down to the wire!

    Mark Weiner passed Bruce Discher and Cyrus Mobedshahi to move into 10th place overall.

    The point leader at the end of the year will be named the BCSD Player of the Year, and the top 16 in the Master Point standings will be invited to the 2004 BCSD Tournament of Champions, to be held in early 2005.
