Tournament News

On Tuesday, 23 November 2004, the Backgammon Club of San Diego met. Eight players entered a 16-player tournament, with the following results:

Main Tournament (16 player bracket)
  • 1st place:  Sho Sengoku
    
  • 2nd place:  Alan Epstein
    
  • 3rd place:  Eric Sedehi
    
  • David Saad was a new player to the club this week, and Alan Epstein, visiting from Georgia, made his annual pre-Thanksgiving visit to the BCSD and earned a 2nd place result for his efforts.

    Sho Sengoku has opened up a nine point lead over Jason Lee, and will hold the pole position for at least another week.

    The point leader at the end of the year will be named the BCSD Player of the Year, and the top 16 in the Master Point standings will be invited to the 2004 BCSD Tournament of Champions, to be held in early 2005.
