Tournament News

On Tuesday, 30 November 2004, the Backgammon Club of San Diego met. 11 players entered a 16-player tournament, with the following results:

Main Tournament (16 player bracket)

1st place:  Bruce Haight and Fred Kamgar (split)
3rd place:  Sho Sengoku

The club welcomed Todd Dragert, David Gray, and Dan Hill to the mix. All three enjoyed a new rule whereby first time players are given a free reentry.

Bruce Haight moved into a 2nd place tie with Jason Lee, both just eleven points off of the pace set by Sho Sengoku. With only four tournaments left in the year, the race is still wide open.

The point leader at the end of the year will be named the BCSD Player of the Year, and the top 16 in the Master Point standings will be invited to the 2004 BCSD Tournament of Champions, to be held in early 2005.

Player of the Month for November 2004

Bruce Haight is the BCSD Player of the Month for November 2004. Bruce split first place in two tournaments and took third place in another to earn his third Player of the Month Award for the year.
