Tournament News

On Tuesday, 4 January 2004, the Backgammon Club of San Diego met. 13 players entered a 16-player tournament and a 16-player overflow tournament, with the following results:

Main Tournament (16 player bracket)
  • 1st place:  Bruce Haight and Sheldon Woytek (split)

  • 3rd place:  Osman Guner and Fred Kamgar (split)
    • Overflow Tournament (16 player bracket)
  • 1st place:  Henry Chaboki and Jason Lee (split)

  • 3rd place:  Steve Blake and Adrian Costa (split)

    • With nary a fourth round match played, a total of EIGHT people scored points last night to open the 2005 season.

    The point leader at the end of the year will be named the BCSD Player of the Year, and the top 16 in the Master Point standings will be invited to the 2005 BCSD Tournament of Champions, to be held in early 2006.
