Tournament News

On Tuesday, 22 February 2004, the Backgammon Club of San Diego met. 12 players entered a 16-player main tournament and a 16-player overflow tournament, with the following results:

Main Tournament (16 player bracket)
  • 1st place:  Adrian Costa and Fred Kamgar (split)

  • 3rd place:  Bruce Discher and Osman Guner (split)
    • Overflow Tournament (16 player bracket)
  • 1st place:  Henry Chaboki

  • 2nd place:  Tom Fahland

  • 3rd place:  Steve Blake

    • Steve Blake continues his run, as he has scored master points in eight consecutive tournaments.

    The point leader at the end of the year will be named the BCSD Player of the Year, and the top 16 in the Master Point standings will be invited to the 2005 BCSD Tournament of Champions, to be held in early 2006.

    Player of the Month for February 2005

    Henry Chaboki is the BCSD Player of the Month for February 2005. Henry placed in four overflow tournaments, but did not score a point in any main tournament -- but that was enough! Henry went 12-6 in his 18 matches this month. Congratulations, Henry!
